The First Flame
Anthony Sorrentino opens the doors of his first coal fired pizzeria on Turkey Lake Rd, Orlando. Armed with his grandmother's Neapolitan dough recipe and a custom-built coal oven imported from Italy, the first pies are fired. The neighborhood takes notice immediately.
First "Best Pizza" Award
Orlando Weekly names Anthony's coal fired pizza the "Best Pizza in Orlando" — the first of seven consecutive years receiving the award. The accolade brings lines out the door and a loyal following that has never left.
Expanded Menu & Catering Launch
Responding to guest demand, anthonys coal fired expands beyond pizza into coal-roasted wings, craft salads, and house-made desserts. A full catering division launches to bring the coal fired experience to events across Central Florida.

Anthony brought his family's Neapolitan traditions from Naples to Orlando, and has spent 20+ years perfecting the art of coal fired pizza. His philosophy: great fire makes great food.
Anthony's wife and co-founder, Maria oversees ingredient sourcing and kitchen quality. Her insistence on fresh, locally sourced produce defines the flavor profile of every dish we serve.
Trained in Milan and Rome, Marco joined the team in 2009 and brought a creative culinary edge to our classic menu — expanding our offerings while honoring the coal fired traditions Anthony established.
